Trees for Wild Salmon: USFS Video

This video depicts a tree tipping project in the Santiam River watershed that is meant to create spawning habitat for the threatened fish species, Winter Steelhead and Chinook Salmon.

    This is also being done on the upper McKenzie in some side channels, and I think the South Fork. One of the great things is that the McKenzie students are wild about the project. So there is improvement for native fish, and the spawning of a younger generation of folks who will hopefully continue this work.
