You can fly, walk, and drive to so many of New Zealand’s great trout rivers. Public access is excellent, and the typical day is spent walking upstream on rivers that can be crossed back and forth easily, as to approach each run, riffle or pool from the best position.
This year we decided to try to float a few of New Zealand’s rivers as well as walk them. Being cognisant of anglers walking upstream, and wanting to respect other anglers chosen beat, I knew that not all rivers would be suitable. But some would, and what better craft than a Water Master Raft? Under 50lbs it would be considered a checked bag from Oregon to New Zealand.
The Verdict: The Water Master Raft offers innumerable possibilities wherever you may be fishing.
the secret is out!!
The ultimate family holiday – really enjoying your trip photos.
Hi. Where did you get the water masters? In NZ? Great blog piece, thanks for posting!
They weigh less than 50lbs so just checked baggage on one of our trips down.
