The Morrish October Caddis pattern fishes best on the skate. It’s a killer dry fly pattern for this time of year on the McKenzie and upper Willamette Rivers. The foam body makes for great floatability.

Thread: 6/0 Black Uni thread
Body: 2mm orange foam
Rib: Black thread
Wing: Stacked elk or deer hair
Nose: Tan 2mm foam
Hackle: Metz magnum dry fly saddle
