Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) recently concluded that decommissioning Leaburg Dam is the best scenario moving forward. Follow this link to learn more about the decision and here is a list of upcoming EWEB public meetings. The largest dam removal effort in U.S. history is underway on the Klamath River in southern Oregon. The Reconnect Klamath website is a great resource to stay up-to-date on the removals. In Eugene, the McKenzie River Trust has a number of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Check out their calendar here.
