November Fly Fishing on the Middle Fork of the Willamette

It’s cooled down considerably since the photos in this post were shot but we have some fine water conditions currently. The Middle Fork below and above Dexter Dam are very “fishable”. The section near Oakridge is as low as it’s been all year. Nymphing will be the ticket with stonefly nymphs, small Pheasant Tails, Princes and Copper Johns.

It’s rare that three Caddis Fly guides get together and fish during the season. We tend to get the fringes early and late. This November Fall held on with some beautiful days, and the fishing was really good. Clay, Ethan and I had one of those days that puts an explanation point on a great Summer. To many cutthroat to count and a few Steelhead in mid November on the Middle Fork was a blast!
