The Mckenzie River ‘On the Rise’ Episode Premiers Monday

Last summer Chris, Jason, myself and the crew at Barrett productions filmed an episode for Trout Unlimited’s excellent fly-fishing and conservation show, ‘On the Rise’ profiling the Mckenzie River, its redside trout and the ongoing dispute how to manage the river. That episode is set to premier Monday at 10:00 am (Pacific) and will also be shown Tuesday at 7:30 pm (Pacific), Friday at 4:30 am (PCT) and Saturday at 9:30 am (PCT) on the Sportsman Channel. Look for it on Comcast 405, Dish Network 396. As for Direct TV or Charter their sites aren’t exactly friendly to navigate so you are on your own. Sorry.

From the press release:

McKenzie River, Oregon
The stream that spawned a whole new design of river boat brings the TU crew out in hopes of tying-in to a McKenzie native, the Redside Rainbow. Karl Mueller and Chris Daughters take Jed on a wild ride down the turbulent, azure waters of this renowned river ….

Besides being of local interest, ‘On the Rise’ really is a fine program, mixing the classic Saturday morning fishing show format with conservation content from around the country. You can check out some clips and hopefully be inspired to become part of the solution.
